Welcome to the

Sculcoates Neighbourhood Association

website.

Dedicated to the improvement of Sculcoates, we are the first community association to have formed in the area. Our methods are traditional, organising social events, representing tenants and homeowners with problems and regenerating our green spaces whilst generally enjoying ourselves.

We believe Sculcoates has long been neglected as it is neither the most deprived nor the most privileged area in our city, so it has just been left to its own devices to slowly decay.

The Association has been instrumental in the regeneration of the cemeteries and the local park, and the results of this are now starting to show (although much more work continues to be done behind the scenes to further move forward these projects). We  have also started the first community newsletter in the area, giving everyone a chance to find out what is happening in Sculcoates and the opportunity to have their say. Sculcoates is a vivid mix of different voices, religions, cultures yet we all want the same thing, somewhere decent to live, security, and a safe environment to bring our children up in. A place we can say we are proud to live in, to be a part of its community.

To make Sculcoates the neighbourhood it could be we need to harness the vibrant personality of its people and all of us work together to reinvigorate it, because we are all its heartbeat and if we don’t care who will?
